Here is where the File Servers are housed which provide the client with over 2000 TBs of storage space, all delivered at Gigabit speeds. All files encrypted, backed up, and protected by some of the most sophisticated security software on the market today.
Here is one of two Application Server Rack Systems that house everything from basic shared apps to enterprise level citrix farm environments. These servers provide the front end applications to the 1500+ client computers that connect to them each and every day.
This is the second of two Application Server Rack Systems which house most of the critical database information for the company. Oracle, SQL, MS, you name it, if it's database driven, it's all taken care of here. These servers basically provide the critical backbone for the entire network's data and application management systems.
How do you keep over 2000 Terabytes backed up and safe? With a fully automated robotic tape and DVD storage factory of course! These bad boys take care of live backups on the fly, and all backups are managed by a fully automated robotic tape library. This system is also capable of burning 500 DVDs at once for immediate archival or quick duplication for offsite storage.
This final rack system contains Web Servers, Test Servers, Specialty Servers, and just about any other server that doesn't belong in any of the previous categories. It's hosts over ten different web servers, and a fully functional test environment that perfectly matches the live production environment. This way all new implementations can be thouroughly tested before ever reaching the production floor.
How do you connect all of this? Miles of wiring! This rack represents 1 of 8 similar wiring racks used to serve the Local Area Network.
This is one of the Monitoring Centers used to manage over 800 servers, and 1500+ client computers. If there's a problem, chances are we know about it well before the client community is aware and in most circumstances, the problems are corrected before the client is even aware that a problem exists.
